In 2003 the Boston Terrier was #18 in 2008 it was #17 and now it is holding its own at #21 in 2017 the AKC's Most Popular Breed List. The Boston Terrier is an active, compact and highly intelligent Dog. He must be Black, Brindle or Seal with White Markings for Show Dog. This is an all American Dog and was bred in Boston, MA. His Nickname is, "The American Gentleman". He is in the Non-Sporting Group was was recognized by the AKC in 1893.
